Rockets are cool
Tristan got a rocket and space science kit for Christmas and he has been dying for nice weather to arrive so he can finally try out his rocket. I think it was worth the wait! What do you think!

Summah and a trip to Bah Habbah
Well the sun is shining and the temps are up which is making it very hard to stay indoors and do any school work. Even for me! We put the yard toys out and we can't seem to stay inside these days. Then one day last week we couldn't stand it any longer so we packed the car and went to the beach. Bar Harbor was where we ended up, and even though it was not swimming weather just yet, we dipped our toes in anyways. Everyone was out getting their stores ready for the summer tourists. We ate a picnic in the park and played ball in a field, overall it was a fabulous day ! I love the spring and summer!

Baseball Baseball and Baseball !
Spring is here and with it comes baseball season. We finally signed the boys up for baseball. Chase is on his first ever little league team. They are the A's and sponsored by UCU. He loves it so far.
On opening day they marched down the street in a parade to the ball field as fans and family cheered them on. At the field they played some scrimmage games and got to know each other. Then they ate hamburgers and hot dogs. It was fun.
On Sat. May 4th Chase played his first game. His team was down by 2 in the bottom of the second when Chase took the plate, He hit his second pitch and made a run for first plate scoring the first point for his team. He made it all the way around the plates and his team went on to win 10 - 3. It was an awesome game and i am so proud of him. It was so great to see the smile on his face as he hit that ball and ran to first base. I cried !!!!
Tristan and Spencer can hardly wait for their turn, they start on the 7th. I will post pictures of them soon.
The difference with Boys!
Today was an awesome Sunday! I went by myself as John had to work! We decided to sit near our friends who also have all boys, well sacrament was lively with all these boys. I some times struggle with raising boys, they are stubborn, loud, over active, and it doesn't matter if they have had veggies or sweets, boys are just a different breed sometimes. I am often on my knees asking Heavenly Father if he is sure he didn't make a mistake and gave me boys by accident. Don't get me wrong I love my boys and I am truly happy, but let's face it life is not all roses! Sometimes I wish I was on an Island in the middle of nowhere and the only men around are the ones making me dinner and waiting on me hand and foot!
Back to my post! So in my rush this morning I prayed, I think with feeling, it was hard to feel the spirit with all the screaming, for more patience with my boys and I mean lots more! It was one of those days! So we get to sacrament this morning and I made an off hand remark about how we were there to keep this half of the room in line! Ha ha ! Ann and her 3 boys were behind us and Bentley came in shortly after us with his dad and grandma! Bentley is my favorite 2 year old! His bright red hair and cute round cheeks let him get away with everything ! As parents of boys we all talked about how crazy the boys were today and then set out to keep them still when the meeting started!
The best part of the meeting was Bentley yelling dad I want to play zombies now! In the middle of the prayer and all through out the meeting! I told you he is my favorite 2 year old!
I quietly took in everything and I don't know when or how it happened but things just seemed to pop out at me and gave me a real calming feeling as I saw things about boys I had never sen before, because I wasn't looking! I ended up helping out in primary, and during sharing time and singing, I noticed all of the boys in the room, not just mine, were either playing with their ties, or wiggling in their seats or taking off their shoes, or talking loudly about ninjas. A few times things got loud but the leader patiently led them back to reverence, I just watched and listened and surprised myself at how calm I was, boys were being " naughty" and I was not freaking out!
The little girls in the room were the perfect example of reverence and obedience as they usually are right? Well the strangest thing happened, when the leader asked the boys a question, they actually knew what was going on and could follow the conversation! I know this is true I have said it before about my own boys, but today after my sincere prayers of help and patience, I got the answer I needed, boys are going to be boys, they are never going to sit still and be reverent but they can still feel the spirit and learn obedience. I can't explain it but for me I had an ah ha moment today!
I really saw more deeply the frustrating side of myself when it comes to boys, it is ok to let boys be boys and I must learn to be more patient with them. They still need guidance and lots of directions. But I need more patience and I need to lower the bar I have set too high for myself as a mom.
I love my Heavenly Father and I am so grateful for this beautiful day, he truly answered a prayer for me today. I gained a stronger testimony that boys are boys, and I just have to learn their language better! It has only taken 10 years but who is counting right!!!! And as parents we do what we need to in order to keep them entertained even if it means playing zombies on our phone during sacrament. Oh and it doesn't matter what other people think of me or my kids because they are mine and if you don't like it too bad! Cause that is how boys role
