The "Perfect" Christmas tree

Yes I know it is a bit late but life gets busy and I am not perfect so better late than never.

We decided after going to a store to buy a "fresh" tree and finding only half dead trees that we would go back to the tree farm we love and cut one down. We waited until the weekend when they were open. The boys could hardly wait. We bundled up and the weather cooperated (thank you) and we headed out to get our tree. I love christmas it is my favorite time of the year. I love everything about it.  I tend to go overboard with excitement........John....not so much. He likes the holiday but grumbles a little about the hassle of putting it all up and taking it all down. My cheerfulness only seems to make it worse.......I guess maybe because I am always the one holding the camera and he is always the ones holding the saw and covered in dirt and tree sap by the end of it,  well onto better topics,

We wander all over the field looking for the perfect tree, we disagree and agree and so forth, while the boys run hog wild all over the place. They give up waiting, they know mom and dad are going to do this and so they find something else to do until mom or dad says we have found the perfect tree.  The boys cheer dad on and say  "good job dad", "that's great!!"  "2 thumbs up dad"  I am serious that is what they said they love their dad and what ever he does they think it is the coolest ever. I love it.

Once the perfect tree is finally cut down the boys help wheel it to the car. They love pulling the tree trolley all over the place as you can see in the pictures. We get it tied down to the car and head home so the decorating can begin.
