Nothing new

Well it has been so long since I have done anything with this blog that I forgot the password. That makes me sad. I love taking pictures, my camera card is almost full and my computer file is bulging with pictures, I just get busy looking at everyone else's blogs and facebook pages and I run out of time for my own pages. I also lack creativity and patience with myself I want it to look great yet I do not know how to make my computer work the way my mind thinks, I know I am overthinking this but that is just who i am. I have to talk myself into it. I do the same thing with scrap booking I want it to look perfect but it doesn't so I give up and leave the pictures in the box. Tristan is starting to wonder where his pictures are from when he was a baby. He said to me the other day mom do we have any pictures of me when I was a baby? I told him yes but I have to find them. It worked for now. But I know him he is going to ask again and this time it is going to be mommy did you find my baby pictures yet??? So for my son and for myself I am going to reccomit and get over my fears and get back to blogging and journaling. This is Tristan at 1 year old. This was the year I got my first digital camera. All his baby pics are on 35mm. He was so cute then and still is.

First day of school

Tristan started Pre-k this year and Chase goes into second grade. I can't believe it. They are growing too fast.

Tristan was so excited to start school that he went to bed at 6pm. He would have slept in his school clothes if I had let him. He packed his backpack the night before and half of his snack. He is a riot. When the big day arrived both of them came running into my room at 5:45 am and pounced on me screaming get up mom it is the first day of school. They were all dressed shoes on and ready to get in to the car. Spencer and I were still in our pjs. I now know what it feels like to them when I rush them out of the house. We had to take some pics before we left, then more when we got to school.

Daddy surprised us all by announcing he would sacrifice sleep so he could be there on the first day of school. He just got done working a 13 hour shift. Thank you daddy,we love you and we love how hard you work for us.

Well here we go. We arrived at school. Chase gave us all a hug and kiss and went in to the building. I'm sad, he is starting into that mom's kisses and hugs are not cool in public already.

Tristan met his Teacher Mrs. Emerson outside where she was waiting with name tags and a huge warm smile. Tristan found his name tag and showed off his backpack and new clothes. She gave him just the kind of praise and recognition he was looking for and he ate it up. He was all smiles. When all the kids in his class were finally there and the bell rang for the big kids, Mrs. Emerson announced it was time to line up and go inside. Tristan gave us both a hug and kiss and said "It's time to go,I am ready" then he walked over and stood in line. We waved goodbye, then watched as they waved bye three more times. Tristan had tears welling up in his eyes but he kept turning around so I couldn't see them. They walked to the door and Mrs. Emerson told them to turn and wave one more time, he blew me a kiss and walked through the door to his first day of school. He was fighting back tears but that is ok. I bawled all the way back to the car and so did Spencer. He was all smiles at the end of the day when he came running into my arms. "Mom" he says "I like preschool" I am so proud of him.

taking a nap

We went to visit Grammie T and while I was away for a bit Jess captured Spencer taking a nap after a hard day of playing with his cousins. He is so stubborn about naps lately he thinks he does not neet them anymore. Hmmm I think he does

"Crazy" uncle Eric's visit.

We started calling my baby brother crazy Uncle Eric because the first time the boys met him he had crazy long curly hair. The boys thought that his hair was so cool and crazy out of control. They love Eric he is fun to hang out with. He does not come to visit very often so we enjoy him as much as we can when he comes. We go down to grammies house and spend time with all of our cousins and aunts and uncles. It is always a good time when he comes home. I have a huge family and it is even bigger now with all our spouses and children. We are a sight to be seen. But we love to get out and play. Unfortunately I was recovering from a minor heart procedure while he was visiting so I stayed back at Grammies, but I sent my camera to record all the fun and see what I missed. I love my family. I never thought I could love anyone as much as my family until I had my own family. I have enough love to go around all of them a million times. I really truly am grateful for all of my siblings, my parents, and all of my neices and nephews, I especially love my husband and my boys, they have brought so much joy to my life. It was hard to pick but these are my favorite shots of the day at Fort Williams Park with Eric.

Early Summer Fun

We had some nice weather in May which felt like summer to me. We set up the trampoline and I had fun with my new camera. I love summer time and I wish it would get here already the nice weather in May is just a tease, it is raining today and it has been all week. I can't wait for the lazy days of summer.

Future firefighters in the Nuttall house

Dad has a friend who is fire chief for his town and he gave the boys a private tour of their new firetruck. They even got to take it out for a spin around the town. The boys were in heaven, They all want to be firefighters now. Well Tristan still wants to be a police man and maybe a firefighter on his days off.

Making the Right Choice

Chase received his first CTR ring from Primary last week. I can't beleive he is already 6 years old. We asked him what the ring was for and why he got one. In his own words:
Chase tell me about this ring
" It is a CTR ring mom, you know choose the right"
What does it mean to choose the right Chase?
"I wear the ring and I choose the right"
And what is a right choice Chase?
"Do what mom says?"
He was scratching his head after that answer, and so was I
Well it started the conversation anyways. He has a better understanding of what choosing the right means now. He was very excited to have his own CTR ring and he wore it proudly, until he lost it. We have a rule in our house that there are no "bad boys" only bad choices. When the boys are in trouble I say that was a bad choice and we talk about it. I am not always sure they get it. then the CTR ring came along.
Another classic Chase quote that he uses alot these days.
When asked "Chase that was the wrong choice
why did you do that?"
"MOM!! I didn't have my CTR ring on! that is why I made a bad choice"
Oh I love him so much he makes me laugh all the time and constantly has me on the top of my game.
