Attention friends and family, we have a new member to tell you about. Spencer would like all to know that he is officially changing his name to "Battle Scars" Nuttall!!
We took the boys sledding on Saturday after the big storm the day before, The Union street hill was pretty icy but it is not steep and the boys didn't care about the ice they could not wait to go sledding. Spencer has no fear and he only goes one speed "Fast" no matter what he is doing. So the three boys hop on one slide and race down the hill. We had many tumbles when they all three rode together. Tristan had just recently fell off his sled and he hit the ground so hard his hat flew off, but he got up and ran up the hill screaming with delight mom did you see that did you see that?? Tristan came out with a red road rash over his left eye and a grin from ear to ear. After that incident I moved them over to a milder slope. Once again the three of them hopped on a sled and raced down the hill. They hit a patch of ice and all three tumbled off. Spencer hit face first on the ice. He wasn't crying but he was not laughing either. His brothers helped him up the hill and he was bleeding from his lip. Of course I figured he had broken something again and we were off to get more stitches. Luckily it was just scratches and in my delight I made him laugh!!!
We were driving to Church the next day and Spencer says to me in a pathetic sad voice " Mom I don't want to be called Stinky Pete any more" I said ok well if you don't want us to call you that we will call you Spencer, He replied "No Mom I want to be called Battle Scars!!!!!" the way he said it was hilarious I laughed so hard I almost veered off the road. He had been thinking about what daddy and I had told him about those battle scars to calm him down, and then the boys were talking about telling everyone at church what happened to Spencer and Tristan's face and he decided he was proud of his new stardom as an injured sledder, I think daddy said something to him about shredding the hill and how cool his face looked, I don't remember, they went to the car to take care of his face while I stayed with the other two boys on the hill. He loves saying his new name and he adds flair to it every time he says it, his voice gets deep like a tv announcer it is a riot!!
This was taken the day after! The right side had a few cuts on it as well but they healed over night. In short it looked alot worse on Sat.
