Discovering Christmas Day One

For Christmas this year I have found a new tradition! I discovered a fabulous and fun activity book that counts down the days until Christmas while keeping Christ as the center of Christmas, which I love. Each day we learn about one of the symbols of Christmas and why/how it is part of Christmas. There is a scripture verse to memorize each day as well as a 25 day scripture chain so 2 scriptures really. I am so excited to dive into these activities I can't help but share them with you. I love Christmas so much it is my favorite time of year and I do cry when it is time to take it all down. SO Day one we made a Christmas Scripture Countdown Chain with 25 rings and each day we take one down and read the verse together and talk about what it means. " For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given, and the Government shall be upon his shoulders and His name shall be called Wonder, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6)
